NEA Releases Statement After Trump Budget Proposal

President Trump released his budget proposal today, which included cuts to the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), according to its official website.

The NEA promptly responded to this news by stating, “We are disappointed because we see our funding actively making a difference with individuals of all ages in thousands of communities, large, small, urban and rural, and in every Congressional District in the nation.”

The budget will be brought to Congress next and if it is approved, it will go into effect beginning October 1.
