The National Theatre in Washington, D.C. announced its 2017-2018 season, which includes a musical adaptation of the movie, “Mean Girls.”
The show, which will make its Broadway debut in the coming year, has been adapted by Tina Fey, Emmy Award winner and original screenwriter of the original movie.
“Mean Girls” will be produced by SNL creator Lorne Michaels and Stuart Thompson, and include music by Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond. Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw, of the “Book of Mormon” and “Something Rotten!” will direct and choreograph the forthcoming musical.
The musical will run October 31-December 3.
